One of the most popular and goriest fighting games to date, Mortal Kombat, is back.

The trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 was released only days ago. The series has been known stretching what was and wasn’t allowed in a game with its intense fight scenes and gory brutalities.

From what was shown, Raiden and Scorpion known throughout the whole series are fighting each other to the death. The cinematic is exactly what you would expect. Nothing but beautiful, yet gory, action.

The game is set to release on April 23, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Fans of the game who pre-order the game will gain access to the beta, but only if they are purchasing the PS4 or Xbox One versions. In addition, pre-order customers on all platforms will receive fighter Shao Kahn, as a playable character.

As of now, there will be two versions of MK11. The Standard Edition ($59.99) which as usual, only includes the base game, and The Premium Edition ($99.99). Included with the Premium Edition is a Steelcase for the game and the Kombat Pass. These passes include six additional fighters and six battle passes. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth it buying the Premium Edition for the extra fighters and battle passes.

Besides the formalities, there are more new features in this installment than any that has come before it.

GameStop Italy has said that this release of the game will give players more control of the character’s appearance.

There will be new fatalities and a new “Foretech” system to bring a whole new level to the executions we all have come to love.

A new graphics engine will bring even more gory and bloody fight scenes than ever.

Focusing on multiplayer, there will be a strong multiplayer component that is completely eSports oriented: customization system, daily news, ever-changing rewards, and improved matchmaking.

I think that the trailer released being the only true insight we have into the game is sign of more good to come. Others as well as I believe this installment will be following the same story arc as the one before it. Finally I am excited to hear that they are using a new graphics engine being that Mortal Combat is known for its gore.
